Remedy For Prevention of Ticklish Situations Relating to Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace:--


๐’๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง-๐Ÿ:-

The Internal Committee at Harsha's Workplace Establishment was duly constituted by an Order-in-Writing, on 15th May 2022, by the Employer designate-cum-Occupier of the Workplace, under Section-4 of the "Sexual Harassment of Woman at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibitions & Redressal) Act 2013" gazetted on 9th December 2013; and

The Constitution of aforesaid Internal Committee (commonly addressed as IC)  was Notified by an Office Order/Circular dated 15.5.2022, for information of the Employees & Others; with the Names, Official Designation, Official Contact Telephone Numbers, and official Email addresses of the below-mentioned Functionaries / IC Office-Holders

1. Presiding Officer who is employed at Senior Level & is Nominated for a Term/Tenure of Three Years with effect from 15th May 2022;

2. One Female Employee as Member for a Term/Tenure of Two Years with effect from 15th May 2022; and

3. One Male Employee as Member for a Term/Tenure of One Year with effect from 15th May 2022; and

4. One Non-Employee, Third Party as Member (๐—˜๐˜…๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น) for a Term/Tenure of One Year with effect from 15th May 2022.


๐”ผ๐•ฉ๐•”๐•–๐•ก๐•ฅ the IC Member ( External) ๐™‰๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™š of the IC Employee-Members including the Presiding Officer, has any ๐—œ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ, ๐—ž๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜„๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ด๐—ฒ ๐Ÿฌ๐—ฟ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜† about any of their 24 ๐ƒ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‘๐จ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฌ to enable them to Discharge their said Duties, Responsibilities, and Role, faithfully and properly in a Fair, Just and Lawful manner;

All the Three Nominated Functiotioneries of this IC, are  of late Feeling Listless, and get worried on hearing about the reported Surge in the Number of Sexual Harassment Cases / Incidents/occurrences and on realizing that more and more Aggrieved Women -Employees and Non-Employee-Women both of mustering /mastering Courage to Stand-Up to Speak-Up for ๐—˜๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ผ๐—ณ their Sexual Harassment at Workplace Complaints in course of and Arising out of their Employment for the Aggrieved-Women Now Know that they have ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ข๐—ฝ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ ๐—ฆ๐—› ๐—–๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ฒ-๐—•๐—ผ๐˜… On-Line Portal for ๐—˜๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ผ๐—ณ their SH Complaints in case they feel that their SH Complainants are Being Trivialized and or receiving Lukewarm Response from either the Employer or the Internal Committee;


Failing to fathom the growing Uncertainties and Anxieties caused therefrom, the Presiding Officer,in consultations with the Employee-Members, made up their Mind to Consult their Compatriot Member (External) for a doable definite Remedy and the  Member (External), promptly offered the following Remedy:--


Remedy/ Simple Solution:-

The Employer of their Workplace Establishment should just Obey his Duties Mandated/ Listed under Section-19 of the ๐—ฆ๐—›๐—ช๐—ช (๐—ฃ, ๐—ฃ &๐—ฅ) ๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฏ, by Organing the Twin Programs, Workshop Mode for the Internal Committee Members namely:-


1. ๐Ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฌ to educate IC Members about 24 Duties, Responsibilities & Roles; and

2. ๐‚๐š๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ & ๐’๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฌ to Train the IC Members on "How to Perform their Duties faithfully & properly;


The Presiding Officer who was employed at a Senior Level (Organization Hierarchy) and all Employee-Members expressed their Gratitude for Offering the Remedy asked the IC Member (External) to accompany them, and forthwith they met their Employer/ Head of th Workplace Establishment, deliberated in sufficient details with precision and succeeded in prevailing over him to Issue Orders to Organize the Twin Programs for the Internal Committee Functionaries;

This Non-Employee Member (External) has amassed over Five (05) Decades of Hands-on Workplace Experiences while employed in Tata Steel Plant, Jamshedpur Tatanagr for over 24 years
